Few weeks ago I was itching to make a card.
I was sitting at my desk for a long time, looking through my stamp sets but the inspiration was not coming. So I decided to organize some things instead and started with patterned paper. As I was organizing inspiration came to create a card using some of my loved and rarely used patterned paper.
First I decided who I was making this card for (my best friend Keri) then picked the colors and patterns that I thought she would love. I choose a paper pad I bought years ago when my crafting consisted mostly of scrapbooking.
Then I combed through my stamp sets and dies trying to find something with a word “friend” and chose MFT FRIEND die and the design for this card came to mind. I’ll keep it simple and make sure that the paper and the die do the all the work.
Using MFT stitched rectangle stax I die cut few panels of patterned paper slightly smaller than standard A2 size card base and decided on the black one with colorful floral design in the bottom right corner. Then I die cut the word FRIEND from the same panel and once more out of fun foam so I could add some dimension.
After I adhered it all to the card base it look pretty plain to me so I decided to add some shine to the raised letters, stamped sentiment above the die cut and did some “decorating” on the floral pattern with Nuvo drops.
In the end I really loved how the card turned out.
I made a second one with butterfly pattern paper, embossed hello sentiment and used white gel pen to add accents.
Thank you for stopping by 🙂
