Hello and happy first day of summer!
Today I am sharing a masculine/travel card that I created for the latest Male Room Challenge #88 – Inspired by a film title
https://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2018/06/challenge-88-inspired-by-film-title.html
I love movies and choosing just one that would inspire a card was not easy. I finally settled on a few favorites (The Bucket List, Secondhand Lions and Around the World in 80 days) that inspired this card with a travel theme.
The stamp I used is from Brutus Monroe June 2018 Stamp club and I just love this versatile little stamp.
I started by stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloring it with alcohol markers. The luggage stamp image has a vintage look so I decided to color the suitcases in browns/earthy tones. Once it was colored I fussy cut the image and started on the background.
I stamped the image with Altenew Mocha Crisp Dye Ink repeatedly on the background creating my own patterned paper.
I used MFT stitched rectangle die to cut the background and adhered it to a top folding A2 sized card base (Recollections 110lb), then secured the colored luggage image with foam tape.
The sentient ~Let’s get away~ that came with the stamp set was stamped on kraft cardstock and die cut with a tiny pierced tag die from MFT – Pierced Tag Stax.
I thought this vacation/travel card would be the perfect way to celebrate the first day of summer π
