Few months ago friend of the family asked me to make her a thank you card. She didn’t specify anything else. My mind was full of ideas and I created 3 completely different cards and had her choose the one she liked the best.
First card was created with absolutely beautiful Hero Arts background stamp Swirl of Starlings Bold Prints.
The sentiments are from MayMay Made It Thankful, Grateful, Blessed stamp set.
I embossed both images on light grey cardstock (Recollections) with Ranger Rose Quartz embossing powder; sentiment was embossed twice. White sentiments were embossed with Hero Arts white embossing powder.
I die cut the embossed Swirl of Starlings background with Stitched rectangle die from My Favorite Things and fussy cut the word ~thankful~.
Background was attached to the 4 1/4 x 5.5 white card base (Recollections 110lb) and the sentiment was popped up with foam tape.
Below are two additional cards I created that day
For the second card I used Thanks die from Honey Bee stamps and Layered Dahlia A/B stencils from Altenew. I cut the word ~thanks~ 4 times to give it dimension and added Wink of Stella for some shine. Two shades of pink distress ink (Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick) were used with the stencils to create a background. I embellished the card with Nuvo crystal drops.
For the third card I used two shades of Recollections grey cardstock. I die cut ~many thanks~ word dies – My Favorite Things – from light grey cardstock and white embossed feather images (Michael’s recollections stamp set) with Hero Arts white embossing powder on dark grey. The frame was cut with Hero Arts Rounded Rectangle nested frame dies and popped up with foam tape.
