Hello there,
It has been a very busy couple of days. I have been coloring up the storm for Thedailymarker30day coloring challenge and creating one card every day.
Today I am sharing Striped Valentine card that I created with one of the images I colored over the weekend.
I found this adorable ~Striped Valentine~ rubber stamp by Art Impressions at Hobby Lobby on clearance few months ago and decided to use it to practice my coloring with Zig markers. I often forget to use Zig markers even tho they’re so fun to use and blend really well.
I started with Canson XL watercolor paper and stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink and choose light, medium and dark grey Zig markers to use for coloring these cute skunks.
While the ink was drying I went through my patterned paper stash and picked beautiful purple patterned paper from Sunny Studio Stamps.
After coloring both skunks I choose a two shades of purple makers that matched the paper to color girl skunk’s bow, added some polka dots with a white gel pen and fussy cut my image.
I stamped, colored and die cut few butterfly images as well as few flowers and clouds to add to my little scene.
I decided to diecut a heart frame from white cardstock to frame my scene. I cut purple patterned paper with Stitched rectangle die, embossed a sentiment with white embossing powder and adhered it to A2 top foldingΒ card base (Recollection’s 110lb) with foam tape.
Next I attached the heart frame to the patterned paper and arranged my colored images which I popped up as well with foam tape. The background inside the frame was created with simple blending of Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.
