Today I am sharing a card that was created out of leftovers from different projects.

A few days ago I was a bit indecisive about what to make and started several different projects but things weren’t really flowing. I finally dug into my leftover stash and started looking through all the die cuts and backgrounds I could use to put together a card.

Sometimes when I struggle with a card idea or start the project and things do not go as I planned I turn to my leftover stash (I have die cuts, backgrounds, images, patterned paper and cardstock stash organized in their separate envelopes for easy access).

I picked a soft background (also from my stash) that I created with ink smooshing technique a while ago while making a rainbow card. Since the background was very pastel and soft I decided that all white against that soft background would look lovely.

As I was going through the die cuts I put aside a white frame, white stitched hills and a sentiment and started arranging my die cuts as I would want them on my card (all dies are from My Favorite Things).

I cut my backgroundΒ  panel to a standard A2 size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Next I attached each of the hill stitched die cuts on top and bottom of the card panel with glue tape. To my frame I added foam tape for dimension and attached it on the panel.

My ~hello~ die cut sentiment was just one layer of cardstock and I wanted a bit of dimension on the sentiment as well so I die cut one more sentiment piece out of craft foam. I adhered the cardstock sentiment to the foam piece with liquid glue and placed it under a acrylic block.

Once the glue was dry, which took few minutes, I adhered the sentient to the right side of the background panel.

To embellish the card I choose soft pastel colored pearls by Lucy’s cards.

I am very pleased with the outcome of this card. It has such soft, ethereal look to it that it just might be a keeper πŸ™‚

Thank you so much for stopping by, hope you have a wonderful day!

Love how soft and dreamy this lovely card looks! Pastels against white is always a great idea and the small touches of muted pearls are the perfect way to compliment this card. Wonderful creation Ana and thanks for sharing!
