~Sending you sunshine~ card was created for my very sweet friend Trisha. I had a small birthday gift for her and wanted to include a card with the gift. The design for this card came out of nowhere as I was originally going to create a box pop card for her, but sometimes your creative juices just start flowing on their on and there is no stopping them π
I choose my image, stencil, color and dies without even thinking about it – it just happened.
I stamped the image (My Favorite Things – Pure Innocence – Blowing Kisses) on a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored her with alcohol markers, fussy cut the image and backed it with foam tape.
To create my background I used a piece of Bristol smooth paper and created sunrays using Distress ink (Mustard Seed) and My Favorite Things Sunrise Radiating Rays Stencil then I cut my background with the largest MFT‘s Wonky Stitched Rectangle die. I stamped ~sending you~ sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the top part of the background then adhered my little girl image.
Next I die cut the large sunshine sentiment from a yellow Ombre inked paper (from a previous project), then cut it 3 more times from white card stock. I stacked and adhered all die cuts to create a raised sentiment, then adhered it to my panel above my colored image.
To add something little extra I added Nuvo drops in Dandelion Yellow. You can see all the dimension I achieved by stacking several die cuts, adhering my image with foam tape and adding Nuvo Drops.
