Hello there,
Today I am sharing two similar projects created with one stencil. I originally planned to create a background using Hero Arts Glorious Petal stencil and glimmer paste however upon opening the container I found the paste completely dry…
Since I already had an idea for a card in my head, I decided to keep on going and chose a different medium so I decided on Distress Ink. I also decided to use two different colors of cardstock for my backgrounds.
I started by die cutting a piece of gray and white cardstock with 4 x 5 1/4 stitched rectangle die by My Favorite Things. I secured my stencil to the gray piece of cardstock with some washi tape and started applying Black Soot Distress ink to the outer edges then continued to move toward the center by add darker then lighter gray ink finishing with Hero Arts Unicorn white.
Once I was done with the gray background I repeated the process on a white piece of cardstock excluding the white ink. Next I added craft foam to both backgrounds and adhered them to card bases (Michael’s Recollection’s 110lb gray).
I choose to embellish my lighter background with Black Nuvo Drops to add more interest.
After I choose my sentiments for both cards I stamped, die cut and embossed them then attached them to my backgrounds.
All products used in today’s project are from Hero Arts minus the Distress Ink and cardstock.
First Picture in this post is the gray base cardstock and this last picture is white card base embellished with Nuvo drops.
