Happy Tuesday everyone,
I am so excited to share this CAS card I made for AAA Card Challenge #119 – Christmas in July.
I think it’s wonderful to start creating holiday cards early so I jumped on this project with full force. Somehow as the holidays come closer there is never enough time to get everything done including creating the cards.
I had several ideas for the cards I wanted to create – actually created 3 and this one was my favorite out of the three.
I started with Michael’s Recollection’s 110lb card stock and created a card base.
Using the rest of the 8 1/5 x 11 piece of cardstock I die cut a slightly smaller panel with My Favorite Things stitched rectangle die then cut the stitched window also from MFT.
On my panel I heat embossed the sentiment (this wood mount red rubber sentiment stamp is from Stampabilities – Hobby Lobby) with Hero Arts Silver Sparkle embossing powder. I tried to catch the amazing sparkle of this embossing powder on the photo below but the picture doesn’t do it justice. This embossing powder is absolutely stunning once melted.
Next I die cut the silver bell (Sunny Studio Stamps – Silver bells – Sunny Snippets Die) from mirror cardstock and backed it with foam squares.
I adhered my background panel to the card base then added a small piece of silver/white twine through the bell loop, secured in with scotch tape on the back and attached the bell inside of the window cutout.
I hope you liked this card and got inspired to create a few holiday cards ahead of time 🙂
Thank you for stopping by!
