Kiss Kiss – MFT Color Challenge #97

In today’s post I am sharing a card I created for MFT Color Challenge #97.

These are some of my favorite colors and I was just itching to create a card using them. They are not your typical ocean/underwater colors but I went with in anyway and loved the result.

I just love My Favorite Things Mermazing stamp set and all the images in it. It was hard to decide which mermaid to choose so I stamped and colored them all 🙂

To create the background I started with lightly applying Distress Ink in Abandoned Coral on the bottom then adding few sun rays on the top with Abandoned Coral and Mustard seed. Next I stamped the sea foliage with the combination of VersaMagic Chalk Inks in Pink Grapefruit, Persimmon, Mango Madness and Pixie Dust.

These colors blend beautifully when applied and create gorgeous ombre look.

Once my background was completed I die cut the piece using the largest My Favorite Things DieNamics “A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 1” die, backed it with craft foam and attached it to the card base (Michael’s Recollections 110lb white).

After I decided where to place my images I adhered them to the background, popping a few with foam tape then stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

To finish the card I added Nuvo Morning Dew drops to create the look of bubbles.

This is one of the most beautiful cards I’ve ever seen. Seriously. 💕 Those colors are so unexpected for an ocean scene, but they’re amazing!! I love this!! 😍 Great work!
