Today I am sharing a card I created for Colorthrowdown challenge #501.
I choose to make a floral card for this color challenge as I love floral designs and Altenew Beautiful Day was calling my name.
I started with creating the background with Altenew Watercolor Stripes Stencil and lightly blended Altenew Mocha and Hero Arts Just Rust and Pumpkin Pie inks to get gradient look. I added Mocha splatter while my stencil was still attached to the cardstock then set it aside to dry.
Next I stamped beautiful peony layered flower in Altenew Coffee Break inks (I used all 4 inks from that set) then added some shading with alcohol markers. I stamped the outline floral images with the same ink colors then fussy cut all my florals.
Once my background was dry I die cut it using the largest MFT’s Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle STAX and backed it with craft foam then adhered it to a top folding A2 size card base (Michael’s Recollection’s 110lb).
To the left bottom corner of my background I adhered outline floral images using liquid glue then added my peony that I popped up with foam tape.
The last thing I needed was the sentiment and I chose smaller/simple Hello as I wanted the peony to be the focal point of the card.
