Hello friends,
I am so very excited to have the opportunity to Guest Design for Themaleroomchallengeblog – Challenge #90 – Include Unexpected Item
https://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/
It took me a little bit of time to decide on which unexpected item to includeย (I had so many different ideas) and finally decided to use scrabble tiles.
Retirement project idea came right after, then I went on brainstorming about the color scheme for my project.
I started by creating the background with combination of Distress inks (Rusty Hinge, Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Black soot) and Imagine Crafts Goosebumps to create the texture.
One I was happy with my background I altered the edges with Tim Holtz by Tonic Studios Paper Distresser tool.
I added darker ink to the leftover paper from my background and die cut the gears and letters using Sizzix Thinlits #661184 and #662687 then started adhering them to my background.
Next I added some shading to my Scrabble pieces with Distress Inks (Walnut Stain, Black soot and Vintage Photo) to match the colors of my project then adhered to the bottom of my project.
To finish off I adhered my completed project to 110lb cardstock (Michael’s Recollections).
I hope you like this ~Happy Retirement~ Mixed Media Project and got inspired.
Thankย you for stopping by and have a wonderful day ๐
