The weekend is here and for me all about making cards. I finally have a free weekend to play as much as I can! Free weekends are rare so I’m enjoying every minute of it 🙂
I created this card for MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #394.
Brand new Die-namics Gift Shaker Window and Frame is a part of My Favorite Things newest release (July 2018) and works amazingly with this sketch.
I started by cutting 3 pieces of cardstock with Die-namics Gift Shaker Window and Frame die and gluing them together. I lightly outlined the window opening area with the pencil to have an idea where to stamp the images I wanted seen in the opening.
I stamped the giraffe, little bird and leaf images from MFT’s Safari Friends stamp set (July 2018 release) on masking paper and fussy cut them out.
I die cut the background panel with the largest MFT’s Stitched Rectangle STAX die then masked the area around where my window would be. Next I stamped the giraffe, little bird and leaves then colored them with alcohol markers. I used Memento Tuxedo Black for stamping.
After my images were colored I covered them with masks I previously made and started creating the sky with MFT’s Mini Clouds Stencil and Distress Ink in Salty Ocean.
Once I was done inking I removed my masks and adhered the window.
I stamped the sentiment (Safari Friends) with VersaMark Ink on a piece of black cardstock, white heat embossed it then cut it with the largest MFT’s Fishtail Flag Frames die.
I popped my sentiment with foam tape.
