Hello crafty friends!
Life has been pretty busy lately and I am little bit behind on my posts and will try to catch up this weekend 🙂
Today I have a card that I created for The Male Room Challenge #92 – Wild & Free
I love playing The Male Room Challenges so much, they always “challenge” me to think outside of the box and create masculine cards which I am always in need for (not many girls in my family 🙂
For this card I decided to use all of my older supplies 🙂 I really love all my stamps and don’t like forgetting about them so every once in a while I will go and dig through my stash to see what inspires me!
I used mixed media background that I made last year using acrylic paint and plastic wrap. There are so many wonderful videos on You Tube if you need to see how to create a background like this!
To create the scene I used last year’s safari inspired Hero Arts 2017 June kit.
There is so many amazing images in this kit and today I used the trees, elephants, monkeys, birds and a giraffe.
I stamped all images with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. My background has a lot of texture so most of the images were a bit patchy. I decided to fill in a few images with a black fine liner and leave some images as is because I really liked the look. Especially the trees!
Once I was done creating my scene, I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and added it to the top of my card base using foam tape.
I adhered my panel to the black card base and added black Nuvo drops for extra interest!
I hope this post inspired you to dig into some of your old supplies and create something new 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend!
