Hello crafty friends!
Life has been pretty busy lately and I am little bit behind on my posts and will try to catch up this weekend π
Today I have a card that I created for The Male Room Challenge #92 – Wild & Free
I love playing The Male Room Challenges so much, they always “challenge” me to think outside of the box and create masculine cards which I am always in need for (not many girls in my family π
For this card I decided to use all of my older supplies π I really love all my stamps and don’t like forgetting about them so every once in a while I will go and dig through my stash to see what inspires me!
I used mixed media background that I made last year using acrylic paint and plastic wrap. There are so many wonderful videos on You Tube if you need to see how to create a background like this!
To create the scene I used last year’s safari inspired Hero Arts 2017 June kit.
There is so many amazing images in this kit and today I used the trees, elephants, monkeys, birds and a giraffe.
I stamped all images with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.Β My background has a lot of texture so most of the images were a bit patchy. I decided to fill in a few images with a black fine liner and leave some images as is because I really liked the look. Especially the trees!
Once I was done creating my scene,Β I heat embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and added it to the top of my card base using foam tape.
I adhered my panel to the black card base and added black Nuvo drops for extra interest!
I hope this post inspired you to dig into some of your old supplies and create something new π Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh this is wonderful! I love the patchy look on the trees too and that monkey sitting on top of one was the first thing that caught my eye. Brilliantly created Anaa! Thanks for playing at The Male Room.
