Hello and welcome back crafty friends!
Today I have a card created for the Male Room Challenge #97 – Tools.
Tools? Well… the first thing I though ugh I can’t participate in this challenge – I don’t have a single stamp or die in my stash that has images of tools… I know, I know I SHOULD get some since 75% of my family members are men!
I thought about what else can I use just to participate, should I draw them by hand? Hmmm…I don’t think so! It would probably look like a 5yr old was creating a Father’s Day card or something! LOL!
Anyway, after little bit of brainstorming I thought about my crafty friends from Instagram who are actually men and I thought: Hey wouldn’t it be great to create a card with crafty tools dedicated to my male crafty friends!
So here I am trying to think outside of the box and using supplies I already have on hand 🙂
This was a pretty simple and easy card to make thanks to the stamp/die set I recently purchased from Concord and 9th. It’s a Crafty Turnabout stamp that creates the perfect background!
Here I used it with two ink colors and turning it only twice.
I also added few extra images as well as the sentiment that came in the stamp set and can be stamped separately. I stamped those with a darker ink color but tried to stay in the same color family for the entire project.
The dies cuts make perfect embellishment and add a lot of interest and dimension to the design.
To make the background pop I added a layer of dark brown cardstock. I also added a piece of craft foam to the background for some dimension.
Overall I am very happy how this masculine card turned out and I hope you like it as well 🙂
Thank you so much for visiting today – until next time, happy crafting!
