Hello crafty friends!
Happy almost Thanksgiving! I am still on a roll making Christmas cards – I have been having a Christmas fever for few months now and can’t shake it off!
I’ve been itching to put the tree up (happening this weekend – YAY) and until that happens, having so much fun creating holiday cards.
Although I am sure the Christmas cardmaking fever won’t end with putting up the tree π
Today’s card is a mix of products from several companies.
I have Sunny Studio Stamps die cuts (shocker I know), snow globe die by MFT and Simon Says Stamp sentiment. Patterned paper is from Michael’s. I love, love this year’s Recollection’s patterned papers and their holiday collection is really beautiful.
I was going to create my own background for this card but decided to use patterned paper instead (thanks to my crafty BFF Trisha – Thank you T!!! – who is the queen of patterned papers and so very inspiring with her beautiful creations) –Β check out her blog https://crafteeme.wordpress.com/ π
I had leftover die cuts from Sunny Studio and decided to create a snow globe because – don’t laugh – I wouldn’t have cut the entire 6×6 piece of paper, just a small piece (it’s pathetic I know but what can I do… I love my beautiful untouched patterned paper collection).
I die cut a piece of white cardstock with stitched rectangle die then die cut the snow globe in the middle of the panel. Snow globe stand was die cut from a piece of black cardstock and adhered right below the snow globe opening. The sentiment was stamped with black ink and my front panel was done π
After my panel was complete I added the acetate and two layers of foam tape to the back.
I lined the patterned paper (which I die cut with the same snow globe die) to my card base, then adhered the deer, tree and the bird to the patterned paper. I added the sequins (got them from my Instagram friend @craftingwithelle1991 who has the most beautiful sequins – photo below – check her page too) to the center of my snow globe then adhered my panel to the top.
I made sure everything was adhered well before I gave my shaker a good shake and my card was finished π
Pretty easy and quick card to create – it would be fun to create a set of these for the holidays!
Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
