Wish You The Most Beautiful Day – AECP – Irresistible Inking Techniques

Hello and welcome back!

I have completed class nine – Irresistible Inking Techniques at Altenew Academy – yay!! Today’s card is featuring one of the awesome techniques we’ve learned in the class – stamping with acrylic block! How fun right!

I have never tried this technique and was so eager to try it out, and created several cards and backgrounds using this technique.

Colors for this card were inspired by the Pantone Color of the Year 2019 Living Coral. Oh my goodness, next to light teal/aqua this is my favorite color!!

For my background I have chosen Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss and Coral Berry colors to ink my acrylic block with. I really love the gorgeous ombre look these 3 colors created!

Floral images and the sentiment were heat embossed with Rose Gold Crisp embossing powder. Florals are from Golden Garden stamp set and the sentiment from Beautiful Day set.

One awesome thing I learned since started taking Altenew classes is that you can watercolor with their inks and that is what I did with the flowers (close up photo below really shows how beautifully Altenew ink react with water). I love that colors of the flowers match my background!

Once the card was dry I adhered it to the card base with foam tape then added splatter with metallic watercolors to keep the watercolor look.

I embellished the card with a few gold liquid drops.

Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful day!
