Hi crafty friends!
I am so excited to have completed my last class of Level 1 Altenew Educator Program – Let It Shine! The classes in Level 1 program were so fun, really interesting and very educational and I am so happy I can share another card with you today!
Let It Shine class is all about adding sparkle and shine to your projects and I went all out on this card 🙂
I started with gold heat embossing the flowers and leaves on vellum them coloring them on the back side of each image. Once they were colored, I die cut them and covered the front with Wink of Stella glitter pen. Vellum curls when wet so I set my images under acrylic block and left them to dry.
Next I started working on my background. I really wanted to use foil as one of the shiny accents but I don’t have a foiling machine (or a laminator…) so I adhered a strip of double stick tape on the edge of my card panel and added the foil, then adhered the panel to a piece of gold glitter cardstock.
My vellum flowers were now dry so I adhered them to the bottom left side of the panel.
I die cut the word Thanks from gold mirror cardstock and added it to the panel using liquid glue then stamped the sentiment in gold ink below the die cut.
I adhered the entire panel to the card base then added teal splatter and gold liquid drops to embellish it!
Well I think I REALLY did let it shine on this card!! 🙂 I have foiling, glitter cardstock, gold heat embossing, Wink of Stella glitter pen, mirror cardstock, gold ink and gold liquid drops!!
I hope that with my 10 class projects I have shared with you, I have inspired you to try classes at Altenew Academy!
My cardmaking skills improved immensely, I fell so much more motivated after learning so many new techniques and I had so much fun!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and I wish you Happy Crafting!!
