Hi crafty friends!!
I know most of us crafters will be making Valentine’s Day cards or a card for someone special. I made several, but love keeping a few cards in my stash for those special moments when you need ~I love You just because~ card!
For this card I used a stamp set I’ve had for a while, Love Scale from Pink Fresh Studio (that little smiling scale is just soo cute), that was a freebie with my order few months ago. I think this set might have been discontinued or a limited edition as I tried to find it on Pink Fresh Studio site but had no luck. I do believe it can be found on other sites if you’re interested.
I started with stamping the scale and banner images on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and coloring them with alcohol markers, then die cut them with coordinating dies.
I die cut another piece of Neenah cardstock with stitched rectangle die and stamped the hearts image (all these hearts are one stamp) with red ink. Next I dry embossed the bottom part of the cardstock, below the hearts, with an embossing folder from We R Memory Keepers.
I adhered the scale directly below the hearts using glue tape and adhered the banner with foam tape.
I added a thin gray frame that was a leftover die cut piece from one of my previous projects. I though the color of the frame went well with the gray banner and the face of the scale.
Using craft foam I adhered my panel to A2 size black card base.
To finish of the card I added black Nuvo drops and covered the words Tons of Love with a black fine liner (the sentiment is the part of the hearts stamp and was stamped in red like the hearts) to make it pop from the hearts.
This was such a fun and easy card to make, and I really love the way it turned out!
Thank you for visiting and I really hope you join us for this fun challenge!
