The Male Room Challenge #107 – DIY

Hey friends!

We have a new fun challenge starting at The Male Room #107 -DIY

_107

For this challenge I created a fun/funny masculine birthday card that I will give to either my husband or my father in law. They’re both very meticulous about their lawns and will not allow anyone else to take care of it!

I used Art Impressions Lawn Ranger stamp – I thought the image was hilarious and would word perfectly for this challenge.

I colored the image with alcohol markers making sure I give this guy a little bit of sun burn on his back, shoulders, nose and arms – I used the stamp set image as inspiration for the sun burns.

I fussy cut him and started working on the background.

For the long grass and trees I used My Favorite Things Spring Scene Builder dies, short grass and the sun are from Sunny Studio Stamps Comic Strip Everyday Dies.

I inked the clouds directly to my card base using Stained Glass Distress Ink and My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Stencil.

The sentiment – from the stamp set – was stamped directly to card base with VersaFine Onyx Black.

This card was easy, fun and quick to create and I am sure it will bring a smile to any lawn ranger that receives it πŸ™‚

I hope you like this project and got inspired to join us at this fun challenge.

Remember – you can create ANY project suitable for a male – it can be a card, tag, layout, 3D project, etc. –Β  whatever you feel might be fun to make.

Thank you very much for taking the time to stop by today – I’ll see you soon with another post!
