I have two projects to share with you today created with newest addition to Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society – Meadow Flowers! Oh my, what a gorgeous floral stamp set this is and I was so excited to play with it!
I kept my first card very Clean And Simple letting florals take center stage and shine!
I started by cutting a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White to 4 x 5 1/4 and scoring each edge half an inch inside the panel achieving framed look.
I stamped the Meadow Flowers image and sentiment to my scored panel with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored the image with alcohol markers.
I adhered layering cardstock directly to my 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base. My colored floral panel was adhered to the layering cardstock.
For some shine, I added clear water droplets and my first card was done. I really love the way this card turned out with those gorgeous flowers as the star of the show!
For my second card I used the same Meadow Flowers stamp set and matching dies as well as Essential Stitched Labels Dies.
I decided to do some no line water coloring for the flowers so I started with stamping the image to watercolor paper with very light grey ink. I used Prima watercolors to color the image and set it aside to dry.
Next I dry embossed the background then added just a few very faint splatters in the same blue shades as the flowers. With leftover watercolors I created a striped strip to match the rest of the colors on my card.
I stamped the sentiment in 3 different shades of blue ink creating an ombre effect, then used the smallest Essential Stitched Labels to die cut the sentiment. Next I die cut my florals using matching die.
Now that I had all my pieces ready I started assembling the card.
Background panel and water colored strip were adhered to the card base (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) using foam tape. I adhered the flowers to the center of my card panel.
To my sentiment I added two brads in matching blue color, then adhered it to the bottom of my card panel.
I really hope you enjoyed these two Meadow Flowers projects and will continue to hop along.
