Technique Tuesday – Garden Sentiments

Hello my crafty friends!

Today I am sharing two cards I’ve created with Technique Tuesday Garden Sentiments stamp and crafting die set! These beauties are the part of their April 2019 release and are so much fun to play with.

Garden Sentiments Stamp Set                     Garden Sentiments Crafting Dies

For my first card I went with soft colors and no line coloring and just love the outcome.

To create the background I stamped “Friends are flowers that never fade” sentiment repeatedly in two rows with light brown ink. This created a subtle background and added the sentiment, all in one step.

Next I stamped the image in light gray ink, colored it with alcohol markers then cut it with coordinating die.

I colored a strip of cardstock with same light blue markers that I used to color the flower pot, then cut two strips and adhered to the background so the image has a “ground” to sit on.

I adhered the die cut flower image next using foam tape then adhered the finished panel to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 kraft card base.

I finished the card by adding few liquid drops in matching blue color.

For my second card I went with little bit more rustic look 🙂

I choose darker colors for this design but still somewhat muted and soft.

Images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with alcohol markers. I die cut them with coordinating craft dies and backed them with foam tape.

I worked on the background next, choosing one of the previously made backgrounds (made with brick stencil from my stash and texture paste I colored with ink), trimmed it to 4 x 5 1/4 then adhered it to white card base.

I cut a strip of woodgrain patterned paper and adhered it to the bottom of the card panel (ground for my flowers).

I adhered the flowers then added the sentiment to the upper right corner (sentiment was white heat embossed on a piece of black cardstock).

To give the images little bit more interest I added few highlights with white gel pen.

I just love how these two card came out! Both are soft but very different.

I will have one more card to share using Garden Sentiments stamp set and Crafting Dies and I cannot wait to share it with you 🙂

Thank you for stopping by today and until next time I wish you Happy Crafting!
