Hey friends!
We have a new exciting challenge for you at The Male Room – Challenege #111 Anything Goes – Optional Twist Origami π
How’s that for a twist!? I love it! I’ve never seen origami challenge before and was really ecxited to make a card!
I really needed a Father’s Day card and have made origami bird once before so I was trying to figure out what would be Father’s Day appropriate…
Origami is art of paper folding so I decided to try making an origami shirt/tie card (I found instructions on YouTube).
Starting with the base (shirt) I folded 4 x 5.5 piece of patterned paper.
To make a tie I folded 4 x 4 piece of pattered paper.
Once I had the shirt and tie folded I adhered the tie to the shirt then adhered the entire project to the top folded card base.
At this point the card looked good but seemed little plain so I decided to add the pocket and handkerchief using the same patterned papers.
I rounded the edges then inked them creating light shading. I stamped the sentiment and trimmed it to look like a tie clip, then adhered it to the tie with liquid glue. Word happy didn’t fit on the clip so I stamped it directly on the tie.
I really like the way this shirt card came out and it was really easy to make! Plus I got to use up some of my patterned paper π
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit today!
Until next time, I wish you all Happy Crafting π
