Rubbernecker Stamps – Birthday Wishes

Hello crafty friends and welcome back!

Today I have some exciting news to share πŸ™‚

I have joined Rubbernecker Stamps Design Team and I am soooo excited and happy! I love their stamps so much and being a part of their amazingly talented team is such an honor! YAAY! I’ve been doing a happy dance for several days and just couldn’t wait to share the news and my newest card created with their beautiful Feathers 1132 rubber stamp!

This stamp set comes with two stamps, one of the detailed feather and the other of the feather “background” (photo below).

I have used the detailed feather only (I have another card in the works where I used both stamps from this set – will be sharing here soon πŸ™‚ but for now let’s get to today’s card!

Feathers 1132

To start, I stamped the feather image repeatedly with embossing ink, sprinkled WOW Pearl Gold Regular embossing powder, then heat embossed the panel.

I choose 3 Distress Oxide ink colors (Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick and Hickory Smoke) and blended from the center outwards, starting with Seedless Preserves. Working my way toward the edges I continued with Worn Lipstick and finished with Hickory Smoke. I really love how these 3 colors blend together and additional colors they create when combined.

Once my panel was dry I used the largest Nested Deckle Rectangle 5176D die to cut the panel.

On a piece of vellum I heat embossed Birthday Wishes 1256 sentiment and die cut the top and side edges with the same deckle die. To create a curve on the vellum I used Nested Oval W/Pierce Die 5024.

I adhered the vellum to the background panel using liquid glue.

I scored top folding A2 size card base and added a strip of gold glitter cardstock to the top and bottom. Next I adhered the embossed panel with foam tape.

I embellished the card with few white pearls and my card was finished πŸ™‚

I love the way this card turned out! That feather image is so beautiful and detailed, I cannot wait to use it again with some different techniques.

Thank you so very much for stopping by today, I really hope you liked today’s post and got inspired!

Until next time, I wish you Happy Crafting
