Hello friends!

Today we are starting Game #2 at AAA Birthday Card Challenge! The theme for the month of June is Use Water Colors!

I have been really enjoying practicing water coloring and I was really happy when I saw the theme for this month 🙂

As June is a BIG birthday month in our family, I have jumped on the opportunity to make a card for one of the family members!

I knew I needed a feminine card and florals were obvious choice. For today’s birthday card I choose Focus On You stamp/die set by Altenew. These beautiful dainty floral branches were just perfect for my project as I wanted several different colors of flowers for my bouquet.

I started with creating my background by inking up the middle top part of the panel. I added splatter in the same ink color (Distress Ink Old Paper), then dry embossed the bottom part of the panel and added ribbon.

The flowers were stamped on watercolor paper with Distress Ink in Tea Dye and water colored with Prima watercolors (Pastel Dreams). Once the images were dry, I die cut them with coordinating dies and arranged them in a bouquet on the inked part of the panel.

The sentiment was gold heat embossed and backed with gold glitter cardstock, then trimmed to a flag strip. I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the panel using foam tape.

I adhered the finished panel to A2 sized white card base and embellished with twine bow and yellow gems.

I am really happy how this card turned out and I really hope the recipient will love it too 🙂
