Hello there friends!
With summer coming in just a few weeks, it seemed so perfect to make an underwater scene full of ocean critters 🙂
I started with stamping the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Neenah Classic Crest paper. All images were colored with Spectrum Noir markers then die cut with coordinating dies.
To create the background I blended Distress Inks starting at the bottom of the panel and working my way up (Brushed Corduroy, Old Paper, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean)
I added clear water droplets to the top of the panel and brown splatter to the bottom, to give sand more texture.
Once the panel was dry I used Nested Deckle Rectangle Dies 5176D (largest and second from the largest) to cut the panel creating a frame.
Next I adhered the frame part directly to A2 sized card base then adhered the center panel using craft foam.
After deciding on the placement for my images I adhered some directly to the background and popped some up with foam tape.
On a piece of scrap paper I blended Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress inks, stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and cut it out with the smallest Nested Oval with Pierce Dies 5024D.
I adhered the sentiment with thin foam tape, to fit under the two fish.
I added bubbles with clear liquid drops and my card was done!
This was such a fun card to make, I am loving the cute fishes and cannot wait to play with them again! I really hope you like this underwater scene card and got inspired to create something summery too 🙂
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today and as always I wish you Happy Crafting!
