Hello crafty friends!
It’s Club La-La Land Crafts June Club Kit release and I am so excited to share my first two projects created with this kit!
My first card was very much inspired by my many visits to Mexico. I love visiting Mexico and always admire their colorful culture.
I started by coloring the images first, below you will find Copic coloring info for Marci and Fiesta die cuts.
FIESTA die cuts:
Greens: G07, G05, YG06, YG03, YG23
Reds: R59, R29, R35, R17
Once my images were colored, I fussy cut Marci then started working on my background.
For my Mexican flag I used the largest Scalloped Rectangles Die and cut a piece of green, white and red cardstock. I trimmed each piece in thirds and assembled the flag, then adhered it to the card base.
Next I created little party banners using the smallest Pierced Scalloped Circles Die, cut each in half and adhered to red, white and green twine then added little flags in coordinating colors.
I adhered the Fiesta die cuts and the two sentiments then added my Marci using craft foam and liquid glue.
For my second card I used the adorable chihuahua and taco dies to create the Taco Tuesday scene 🙂
I colored the image/die cuts with Copics:
Chihuahua: E35, E33, E53, E51
Taco shell: YR23, colorless blender
Lettuce: G07, G05, YG03
The background was created with patterned papers from my stash and Large Stitched Tags Die. I added a piece of ribbon in coordinating color and embellished the card with white liquid drops to match the sentiment.
I really hope you liked this post and my Fiesta cards! I will be sharing two more projects using this kit in several days 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
