This amazing die created 7 layers when die cut and for today’s project I used all 7 layers 🙂
I started by die cutting my background with the largest of Nested Rectangle Dies out of heavyweight cardstock for my base.
Next, I die cut 3 different colors of cardstock from CutCardStock – Savanna White Limba woodgrain, light pink and light yellow from Core’dinations Botanical assorted, with Rectangle Combo OPC die. I separated all the pieces and started adhering them in white, pink and yellow pattern starting with the largest.
I added foam tape to the pink die cut making them stand out from the rest of the die cuts.
To add more interest to the background, I used negative pink and white die cut dots and inlaid them to yellow frames.
On a scrap of Neenah Classic Crest paper I stamped the butterfly image with gray Memento ink and colored with Copic markers – RV04, RV13, YR00, Y11 and Y02. I die cut the image with coordinating die then adhered with foam tape.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Happy Birthday Stamp set on a piece of woodgrain cardstock and trimmed it to a flag then adhered to the bottom of the inside oval frame.
To embellish the card I used Nuvo drops in Light pink and my card was finished 🙂
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today! I hope to see you next time and until then I wish you Happy Crafting 🙂
