Hello friends!
I have a very feminine birthday card to share today featuring beautiful Brush Butterflies stamps and dies, as well as the gorgeous 5207 Rectangle Combo OPC background die from Rubbernecker Stamps.
This amazing die created 7 layers when die cut and for today’s project I used all 7 layers π
I started by die cutting my background with the largest of Nested Rectangle Dies out of heavyweight cardstock for my base.
Next, I die cut 3 different colors of cardstock from CutCardStock – Savanna White Limba woodgrain, light pink and light yellow from Core’dinations Botanical assorted, with Rectangle Combo OPC die. I separated all the pieces and started adhering them in white, pink and yellow pattern starting with the largest.
I added foam tape to the pink die cut making them stand out from the rest of the die cuts.
To add more interest to the background, I used negative pink and white die cut dots and inlaid them to yellow frames.
On a scrap of Neenah Classic Crest paper I stamped the butterfly image with gray Memento ink and colored with Copic markers – RV04, RV13, YR00, Y11 and Y02. I die cut the image with coordinating die then adhered with foam tape.
I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from Happy Birthday Stamp set on a piece of woodgrain cardstock and trimmed it to a flag then adhered to the bottom of the inside oval frame.
To embellish the card I used Nuvo drops in Light pink and my card was finished π
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today! I hope to see you next time and until then I wish you Happy Crafting π
