Let’s get to the projects I created for this hop πŸ™‚

My first project is featuring Technique Tuesday’s Beautiful Dragonfly Stamp set, Dragonfly Crafting dies and 5 WOW! embossing powders.

TT WOW Blog Hop2a

I created the dragonflies using Dragonfly Crafting Dies and die cut inlay technique, as I wanted my dragonflies to have a stained glass look. For the outline of the dragonfly, strips on each side of the panel as well as the sentiment, I used WOW! Vintage Amethyst WS53R embossing glitter. This gorgeous embossing glitter looks dark silver with a beautiful dark purple shine.

For the die cut pieces that were inlaid, I used embossing glitters in Royal Crush WS115R (purple pieces), Under The Sea WS125R (light blue) and embossing powders in Mayan Glintz WU02R (rosy peach) and Colour Blend Verdigis WL05R (green with gold speckle). I can’t even tell how much I love these beautiful colors, and since I couldn’t pick my favorite I decided to use them all for my first project πŸ™‚

For my second project I created a background by dragging the embossing pad on the side of my panel and sprinkling WOW! Aventurine WS192R Embossing Glitter. Sentiment (from the Beautiful Dragonfly stamp set) and the die cut dragonfly were embossed with the same Aventurine embossing glitter.

Three dragonflies (from the stamp set) were stamped on vellum and embossed with Under The Sea WS 125R embossing glitter and die cut with Dragonfly crafting dies.

Beautiful cards! The stained glass look for your dragonflies make them pop! Stamping them on vellum shows how delicate they are and the dragged pad with embossing powder is so a cool look.

Just stunning! I Love the second one the most! What an awesome idea of dragging the embossing pad across the card like that! Thank you for the inspiration! Will have to try this!

I absolutely love your cards. The swiping technique on the second card makes such an impressive background. I can’t wait to try this technique on my next card. Thank you!

I really like the look of your inlaid stained glass look with the dragonflies on your first card. The second card though?
It blew me away! Oh my goodness, it just “speaks to me”. I’d love to see a video on this. Thank you!

I loved both of your cards. The stained glass dragonflies are amazing. I also loved the way you put the embossing powder of the side of the second card and had the white dragonflies on that with a colored dragonfly on the white card area.
