AAA Birthday – Game #3 – For The Girls

AAA Birthday 3

Hello friends and welcome back!

It is the first Monday of the month and that means a brand new challenge at AAA Birthday!!

We have a fun theme for this month’s Game #3 – For The Girls! I love making birthday cards for girls or women and was so excited to create a card for this challenge!

I have created an ocean themed mermaid card for this challenge using the supplies from Sunny Studio Stamps. The adorable mermaid and her friends are from Magical Mermaids stamp set and were colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

Waves were cut out of vellum, inked, spritzed with water and die cut with Catch A Wave Dies. The purple sunrise background is from Spring Sunburst patterned paper pack.

For the frame I used Fancy Frames Circle dies and inked the edges with Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers Distress inks, then spritzed them with water.

Sentiments (from Magical Mermaids stamp set) were white heat embossed.

Finished panel was adhered to the light blue card base.

I embellished my mermaid’s hair with tiny star sequins and clear glitter drops for the crown.

Please check the AAA Birthday blog for all amazing cards the rest of the Design Team has created for this challenge as well as our super talented guest designer Michelle Lupton!

Thank you so much for stopping by today – until next time I wish you all Happy Crafting!

This is super sweet, Ana – I love all of the lovely details such as the vellum waves and party hat on the jellyfish! Wonderful card 🙂
