Hey crafty friends!
It’s time for another challenge at The Male Room Challenge Blog and with Halloween just around the corner, the theme is, of course, Halloween π
We have a super talented guest designer Tina joining us for this fun challenge! Take a look at her awesome Halloween card and her post HERE
When it comes to Halloween I might be one of the few that doesn’t own many Halloween stamps… (and by many I mean, I have 1 stamp set, that I thought was way too girly for this challenge). However, since I used to scrapbook – a lot, and I do own (and still continue to buy) a ton of patterned paper in my stash! Shocker I know!!
For this project I used Halloween 6×6 paper by American Crafts that I found on clearance last year – it might have been released two years ago or longer, I am not sure.
Soβ¦.when you don’t have many specific themed stamps – it’s patterned paper to the rescue! π π
I choose Halloween scene paper first and cut it with stitched rectangle die. I framed the scene with pumpkin paper (from the same paper pack) and added a black mat and craft foam between the two layers for interest and dimension.
I trimmed Happy Halloween sentiment (from paper pack) and backed it with black mat, then added chipboard BOO stickers that I bought at the same clearance sale π
Two little bats were leftovers from a scrapbooking project and were cut with Cricut few years ago (I believe they still might be available to subscribers on Cricut Design Space).
Finally, I adhered the finished panel to A2 size black card base and my card was finished!
This card was super fun, quick, easy and I just LOVE the way it turned out!
I hope you enjoyed this post and like the card I shared! I also hope I’ve inspired you to rummage through your patterned paper stash – you’ll be surprised what’s hiding there and many beauties you forgot about!
We would love if you could join us for this fun challenge! And you never know…if you’re chosen as a winner you will be guest designing with us in the future!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and until next time I wish you Happy Crafting!
