Hello friends and happy Friday!
If it’s not Friday when you’re reading this, then happy any day of the week π
It’s the first of the month of November and time for the new release from Technique Tuesday! This month’s Animal House addition are BEAUTIFUL Morris the Moose stamps and crafting dies. I fell in love with him as soon as I saw him and couldn’t wait to get him colored!!
Today I am sharing two cards with this adorable moose so let’s get right to it!
My first card features no-line coloring of Morris. I just had to color him this way and I love they way he turned out. I stamped him with Lawn Fawn Crunchy Leaf ink and colored him with Spectrum Noir markers in RB1, 2, 3 and 4.
I used DR5, 3 and CR8, 10 (also from Spectrum Noir) for the scarf and did the pattern with white gel pen.
To give texture to his body, I used a cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol then tapped it lightly on the image. Once the image was dry (takes only few minutes) I cut it with crafting dies.
I white heat embossed the sentiment and backed the image and sentiment with dry embossed white panel.
I added brown layering panel to tie the design.
For my second card I used previously made watercolor background which I splattered with white.
I colored the scarf and the flower with Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend markers in purple – this was my first time using these markers and I only have the one – purple π They blend really well and I think I might get few more colors.
I colored Morris in lighter colors for this card (Copic E33, E31, E51 and E35 for the hooves).
I added two hills, which I inked with Distress Oxide in seedless preserves then added splatter in the same color.
I white heat embossed the sentiment and popped the completed panel to the card base with foam tape.
This card was intended for my bestie, so I added a flower in moose’s “hair” LOL! This one is a girl moose π
Well that’s all from me today! I will be back this weekend with two cards from Happy, Happy release (this in also a part of Technique Tuesday’s November release which you can check out HERE).
Thank you for stopping by today – I’ll see you soon and until then I wish you Happy Crafting π
