The Male Room Challenge #125 Inspired by Ugly Sweaters

Hello friends!

New challenge is up on The Male Room challenge blog with a perfect theme for upcoming holiday season – Game #125 – Inspired by ugly sweaters.

We have a wonderful guest designer Vicky joining us for this challenge – Vicky created a fabulous card so make sure you stop by her blog HERE and check it out πŸ™‚

My card for this challenge was definitely inspired by ugly sweaters however, I decided not to make an ugly sweater card. I made a handsome sweater shaped Christmas card for my father in law.

I used stamps, patterned papers and dies from…yes you guessed it….Sunny Studio Stamps πŸ™‚ What can I say… I can help but love their products!

I started by die cutting 4 sweater vest pieces (2 for card base and 2 out of patterned paper). I adhered those with liquid glue. I die cut bow, collar, buttons and ribbed pieces next and adhered them to the vest, popping ribbed pieces and bow with foam tape.

Finally I white heat embossed the sentiment (from Merry Mice) on a piece of red cardstock and my card was finished!

This was so quick and easy to make and it is just perfectly masculine and festive! I think my father in law will really love it πŸ™‚

This is the back side of the card – you definitely do not have to add the pattern to the back however I thought it completed the look of a real sweater!

Until next time – Happy Crafting!

Oh this is wonderful Ana – just the sweater to turn up on Christmas day in! I love the colours and patterns you’ve chosen and I’m sure your father-in-law will love it. I have a pet peeve about those tops you see in the shops where they only put the design on the front and leave the back plain, so I’m delighted that you’ve carried your pattern over to the back of your card!! It’s lovely to guest with you today and thanks for the shout out πŸ™‚
