We have a wonderful guest designer Vicky joining us for this challenge – Vicky created a fabulous card so make sure you stop by her blog HERE and check it out 🙂
My card for this challenge was definitely inspired by ugly sweaters however, I decided not to make an ugly sweater card. I made a handsome sweater shaped Christmas card for my father in law.
I used stamps, patterned papers and dies from…yes you guessed it….Sunny Studio Stamps 🙂 What can I say… I can help but love their products!
I started by die cutting 4 sweater vest pieces (2 for card base and 2 out of patterned paper). I adhered those with liquid glue. I die cut bow, collar, buttons and ribbed pieces next and adhered them to the vest, popping ribbed pieces and bow with foam tape.
Finally I white heat embossed the sentiment (from Merry Mice) on a piece of red cardstock and my card was finished!
This was so quick and easy to make and it is just perfectly masculine and festive! I think my father in law will really love it 🙂
This is the back side of the card – you definitely do not have to add the pattern to the back however I thought it completed the look of a real sweater!
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today! I hope you like today’s project and got inspired to join us 🙂
Until next time – Happy Crafting!
