Hello friends and welcome back!
I have been so busy lately with all the holiday preparations that I barely have time think straight so I decided to take a breather from it all, do some much needed crafty therapy and play along with Lawn Fanatics #66 challenge – Happy little holiday critters!
I’ve been itching for a while to play with my newer Lawn Fawn stamps/dies as well as some of my older ones, so I pulled out a bunch of sets to create this card.
I had to make a slimline card as I planned to include sooo many critters π
To start, I created the sky by blending Peacock feathers and Twisted citron Distress oxide inks. I added some splatter with same colors mixed with water.
Out of white cardstock, I die cut the forest hills (in the background) with Forest border die, then added splatter with Peacock feather distress oxide ink mixed with water.
Next I die cut stitched hills with Stitched hillside borders dies.
For my array of super adorable holiday critters I used Toboggan together (sled, snowballs, penguin decorating the snowman), Winter bunny (bunny of the sled), Winter sparrows (birdies and the branch), Yeti or not (yetis, snowboard, sentiment, trees, Christmas tree) and Snow Cool (penguin pushing the bunny sled, snowman). I wanted to add more but they just didn’t fit, so I’ll make one more winter critter card with all those extra cuties π
I stamped all my critters and colored them with alcohol markers.
I assembled the background adding the forest trees and stitched hills. I stamped the sentiment next then added splatter with white paint, as this scene definitely needed some snow.
Finally I adhered all the critters and my card was finished!
I had so much fun creating this scene, these winter critters are just too cute for words and I think will put a smile on someone’s face this Christmas π
Thank you so much for stopping by today – until next time I wish you Happy Crafting!
