AAA Birthday Challenge – Game # 11 Flowers

AAA #11

Hey friends and welcome back to my blog!

We have a new game at AAA Birthday challenge starting today (first Monday of every month) and the theme for game #11 is Flowers! I have a feeling this challenge will be a big hit with everyone, since I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like flowers on cards!

Before I get to my card, I want to mention our awesome guest designers for this challenge – yes we have two guests this month! Yay!

We have a beautiful card from Dhruvika (many people know her as her blog name Cardogram), you can check her card and post HERE.

And we have Tasha sharing her beauty as well – take a peek at her card and post HERE.

Both of them have created beautiful floral cards and I really hope you check them out and leave them some love πŸ™‚

For my card today, I have used Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers 2. I adore their floral stamps and this one of one of my favorites.

I wanted a soft look for this card so I decided to color with Distress Oxides.

I white heat embossed the image with WOW Opaque Bright White embossing powder then lightly blended Broken China, Peeled Paint and Concord Grape Distress oxide inks on the panel.

I used the same three colors to color the image, smooshing the ink on the mat and adding little bit of water do create watercolor.

For darker areas I used less water and got more concentrated colors.

Once the coloring was finished I stamped the sentiments in dark gray ink.

I decided to die cut the panel and lift the middle portion to create some interest.

To embelish the card I used gold pearls to pull some of that peeled paint color, and my card was finished!

I really hope you decided to join us for this fun challenge – coloring flowers is so fun and we can always use a beautiful floral birthday card πŸ™‚

Thank you so much for stopping by today and until next time I wish you all Happy Crafting!
