Hello friends!
Few days ago I shared this card on my Instagram page and got few questions regarding the details so I decided to do a quick blog post for it.
I am participating in Kathy Raccosin’s The Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge (she has a blog and Instagram page) and since I haven’t had a chance to participate in the last year I decided to push myself for this one.
I have gone through my stamps and realized there are quite a few that I haven’t used yet and had for a while so β¦. yep I pulled them out and stamped away for several hours. I still didn’t get them all stamped but it was a good start.
For today’s card I have used WPlus9 Sympathy Lilies, and created a birthday card. I am in need of birthday cards, and can never have too many.
I colored the lillies with Spectrum Noir markers HB1 and 3 (Colouring System), HB2 and 1 (Classique) and LV3 (CS) for the dark areas. I used JG markers for the leaves.
For the background I used precut items from my stash. I often make cards and change my mind about the sentiment, background, etc. but I keep them in a drawer for the future. When I need a quick background or a sentiment I always look there first and usually find several options I could use π
I layered the background die cut over white cardstock then adhered it to purple layering cardstock. I added scalloped frame then adhered the lilies and the sentiment.
To embellish I used purple gems.
I hope you like today’s post and got inspired to join the coloring challenge or at least got inspired to dig up some of your older supplies and start playing with them.
Thank you so much for stopping by today – products I used are listed below.
Lilies – WPlus9 – Sympathy Lilies
Background die is from Hero Arts, however it might be discontinued as I couldn’t find it on their site
Scalloped frame is Fancy Frames Rectangles from Sunny Studio Stamps.
Birthday sentiment – Simon Says Stamp – Massages for everyday
