The Male Room Challenge #132 At my Grandfather’s House

TMR 132

Hi crafties!

New challenge is starting today at The Male Room challenge blog with a theme At my Grandfather’s house.

I must admit I sat and stared for this one as I never had a Grandfather so I really didn’t know what to make but….instead I created a card with an image from memory of a small town where my Dad grew up and we used to visit when I was little.

All I could clearly remember was open rolling hills with the greenest grass and lots and lot of trees sprinkled all over the large property, so that’s exactly what I made 🙂

For my images today I used Happy Home stamp set from Sunny Studio stamps as well their Fluffy Clouds borders dies (which I used to create a stencil for mu clouds) and Woodland Borders dies to create the rolling hills.

I stamped the house and the trees, colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them out.

To create the clouds I used Fluffy Clouds borders dies, cut the cardstock to create stencils and inked Salty Ocean distress inks to the top part of the panel. With leftover ink on the mat, I added some splatter.

For the rolling hills I inked up two pieces of cardstock with Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide ink, also added splatter for some interest and texture and once dry, dye cut two pieces with Woodland Borders dies.

I adhered all pieces directly to the card base then stamped the sentiment (from Happy Home stamp set) with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and that completed the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by – I really hope you join us for another fun challenge at The Male Room 🙂

Until next time, stay happy, safe and healthy my friends!!
