Hello crafties and welcome back!
I hope you are all doing well and are using this time to craft your hearts out π
Today we are starting a new challenge #135 on The Male Room Challenge blog with a theme Sentiment In Focus!Β
We have a wonderful guest designer Kathy joining us today – she created a beautiful inspiration for this challenge! Stop by her blog, take a look at the card and leave her some love π
And if you belong to our The Male Room Challenge Facebook Group – We are having a super fun STASH SEARCH challenge over there, so take a peek HERE if you are interesting in playing along!!
Today’s card is super quick and easy to create – all you need is a stencil, a die (or word/letter stickers) and some ink!
For the background I used Simon Says Stamp Line Dance Stencil and several Distress Oxide inks (cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, salty ocean, faded jeans and black soot).
For the sentiment I used retired MFT many thanks die set and cut the words out 6 times. 3 times out of white cardstock and 3 times out of watercolor background I created a while ago.
I layered colored letters over white ones, offsetting them a bit to create a shadow then adhered them directly to the inked background.
For embellishments I used white Nuvo drops and white gel pen to create highlights on the letters.
And that’s it! The card was super fun, easy and quick to make and it packs a punch I think! Sentiment could be changed to anything you need from happy birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, even Father’s day etc.
I hope you like today’s post and got inspired to join us!
I’ll catch you next time and until then stay safe, healthy and crafty π
