Hi crafty friends and welcome back!
It’s the first Monday of the month and time for the new game at AAA Birthday! We have an awesome challenge for you this month – Things With Wings! Just think about all those stamps, dies or patterned papers, ephemera etc. you could use for this theme! Yay!
Our guest designer this month is super talented Enna! You can visit her Instagram page and take a peek of her beautiful card HERE.
Now let’s get to the card I am sharing today π
I had a wish to make a fairy card for quite some time now and I thought this was the perfect theme to use some of the Lawn Fawn stamps I’ve had for a while but not had the time to play with!
To create this card, I started with the background. I ink blended two panels with Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers distress oxide inks. Once blended, I added white splatter with acrylic paint mixed with water. I die cut both panels with Large Stitched Rectangle stackables.
I used Puffy Cloud borders dies to create the clouds, and Forest borders dies to create the hill/ground (I cut little trees off as they didn’t go with this design, but kept them aside – I think they’ll look great on another project). Once the panels were die cut, I white heat embossed the sentiments (from Fairy Friends; happy birthday is from Hang In There stamp set)
I stamped the images from Fairy Friends, Gleeful Gardens and Little Sparkle (tiny fairies), colored them with alcohol markers and cut them with coordinating dies (or fussy cut the ones I didn’t have the dies for).
Once the images were ready I assembled the card.
I added foam tape to the clouds and the hill and adhered them to the background.
I added images next, adding some with foam tape and adhering some directly with liquid glue.
I adhered the completed panel to an A2 size card base and finished the design by adding highlights with white gel pen.
I love the way this card turned out! Those little fairies are just too cute for words!
I hope you enjoyed today’s post and got inspired to join us! There is so much AMAZING inspiration on AAA Birthday blog, so don’t forget to stop by and see what other designers have shared. I promise you’ll be inspired – there is so much variety π
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I will see you next time and until then stay safe, healthy and crafty!
