Hello crafty friends and welcome back!
New challenge is starting at The Male Room Challenge and the theme is absolutely perfect for these times of staying at home π Theme for challenge 136 is In the Garden.
Martina is joining us for this challenge as a guest designer and is sharing a beautiful garden card which you can take a look at HERE.
We have been spending as much time as possible outside (weather permitting as we do live in Pacific Northwest) and some of it did include several days tending to the garden.
Needless to say we have had to clear the weeds first before even thinking about wat to plant this year. My card today pretty much sums up what my garden looks like now, after being all cleaned up and prepped for the newcomers.
I used 3016 Garden Tool Set from Rubbernecker Stamps for my card today as well as their 4011 cloud stencil.Β
I made the ground by inking the bottom edges with Distress Inks in Pine Needles and Mowed Lawn, then added splatter with same inks and Vintage photo and white acrylic paint mixed with water.
I lightly inked the clouds using the stencil and Salty Ocean distress ink then added little bit of splatter with that ink as well.
After stamping and coloring the images from the stamp set, I cut them out and arranged them on the card base, then stamped the sentiments and the card was done!
I love this card – it turned out so cute! I hope I’ve inspired you to join us for this challenge πΒ Don’t forget you can create any paper crafting project (cards, layout, boxes, bags, tags etc.) as long as it’s suitable for a male of any age!
I will see you next time and until then stay safe and crafty!
