I have created a card for this special even using one of the beautiful coffee themed illustrations from Coffee Queen set.
I started by sizing the image on Word document and adding the sentiment (both from the set). Next I printed the image on watercolor paper and let ink dry overnight.
I am not sure if that step was necessary, however I didn’t want any smearing on my image.
I colored the image with watercolor brush pens adding additional layer of color around the edges where the shadows would be. I created the wood table top for the mug to sit on, by just coloring the bottom with brown.
I masked the image then lightly inked the background using brick stencil and Antique linen distress ink.
Once dry I added some blue splatter around the image.
As a final touch I added pink Nuvo drops to pull the pink from the flower and my card was finished!
