The Male Room Challenge #138 – Sketch

Hey crafties!

Today I am sharing a card for the new challenge that started at The Male Room Challenge blog. Theme for this fortnight’s challenge is Sketch!

We have a wonderful guest designer Shawna who created a fabulous card with a surprise element! You can check out her card and post HERE!

For today’s card I am sharing a take on the sketch provided above 🙂

I decided on a birthday card (seems like I need those the most) and used MFT UP, Up and Away stamps and dies.

To start I used grassy stencil (also from MFT) and ink blended Lucky Clover and Twisted Citron.

For the sky I inked Broken China over a cloud stencil, then added splatter on the entire panel in coordinating color.

Following the sketch, I used square dies to create a “window” and used vellum and a large flag die for the strip in the middle.

I used the sentiment form the set, and black heat embossed it on the vellum strip.

I stamped, colored and die cut the images from the set and started arranging them to the panel, creating a sweet scene.

I really hope you’ve enjoyed this post and got inspired and I hope you join us for this fun Sketch challenge! I cannot wait to see what you create!

Thank you so much for stopping by and until next time I wish you Happy Crafting!

Such a clever use of the sketch Ana. I can see all the elements on your card, but they are camouflaged so brilliantly that they don’t overwhelm the design. I will miss you so much at The Male Room.

So very cute, Ana! I love the way all the elements from the sketch is in place, but not interfearing with your images. And the colors… I love how you use colors in your cards. I will miss your lovely cards among the rest of the cards at The Male Room, but I am always following your work on IG and in blogland. I am sending a virtual hot air balloon your way filled with lots of scrappy hugs.
